Understand the fundamental concepts of Leader24
Before getting started, it's important to understand some key concepts of Leader24.
AI Agent
An agent is a virtual assistant that:
- Responds automatically to messages
- Uses the knowledge base to provide accurate responses
- Follows instructions defined in the system prompt
- Can be connected to WhatsApp and/or widget
Knowledge Base
The knowledge base is the set of information that the agent uses to respond:
- Documents - PDF, DOCX, TXT uploaded manually
- Web pages - Content extracted from your website
- FAQ - Frequently asked questions
The more information you upload, the more accurate the agent's responses will be.
System Prompt
The prompt defines how the agent behaves:
- Who it is (name, role, personality)
- How it responds (tone, style, length)
- What it can and cannot do
- Specific information about the company
The prompt is automatically generated by AI when you create the agent, but you can modify it at any time.
Conversations
A conversation is an exchange of messages between a user and the agent:
- Can occur on WhatsApp or widget
- Is saved for later analysis
- Can automatically generate leads
- Can be tagged and categorized
Lead
A lead is a potential customer identified during a conversation:
- Automatically extracted by AI
- Includes contact information
- Has a quality score
- Can be exported to CSV
Organization
The organization is your business account:
- Contains all agents
- Manages team members
- Defines roles and permissions
- Centralizes billing
Roles
Leader24 supports three roles:
- Owner - Full control, can delete the organization
- Admin - Manages agents and members, cannot delete the org
- Member - Limited access to assigned agents
