Connect WhatsApp
Integrate your agent with WhatsApp Business
Integrate your AI agent with WhatsApp to automatically respond to customers.
Prerequisites
Before starting, you need:
- A smartphone with WhatsApp installed
- The phone number you want to connect
- Admin or Owner access to Leader24
Important
We recommend using a dedicated WhatsApp Business number for the agent, separate from your personal one.
How it Works
Leader24 connects securely to WhatsApp:
- You scan a QR code
- WhatsApp connects to Leader24
- Messages are received by the agent
- The agent responds automatically
Connection Steps
Select the agent
Go to Agents and select the agent you want to connect to WhatsApp.
Go to WhatsApp tab
Click on the WhatsApp tab in the agent settings.
Click Connect
Click the Connect WhatsApp button. A QR code will be generated.
Scan the QR code
Open WhatsApp on your phone:
- Go to Settings
- Linked Devices
- Link Device
- Scan the QR code
Wait for connection
After scanning, wait for the connection to be established. The status will change to "Connected".

Test the Connection
After connecting:
- Send a message to the connected number
- Verify that the agent receives it
- Check that the response is sent

- Use a dedicated number for the agent
- Keep the phone charged and connected
- Regularly check the connection status
- Set up automatic reconnection notifications
Troubleshooting
QR code expired
- Refresh the page to generate a new one
Connection lost
- Check WiFi/data connection
- Verify WhatsApp is active on phone
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Messages not arriving
- Check agent is activated
- Verify status is "Connected"
- Try reconnecting WhatsApp
