QR Code

Understand how the WhatsApp QR code works

The QR code is the linking method between WhatsApp and Leader24.

How it Works

The QR code contains a unique token that:

  1. Identifies your Leader24 account
  2. Associates the WhatsApp number with the agent
  3. Establishes a secure connection

QR Code Lifecycle

Generated → Active (60 sec) → Scanned → Connected
                ↓
            Expired → Regenerate

Code Expiration

The QR code expires after 60 seconds for security reasons.

If it expires:

  1. Click Refresh QR
  2. A new code will be generated
  3. Scan within 60 seconds

Scanning the Code

From WhatsApp

  1. Open WhatsApp on your phone
  2. Tap ⋮ (three dots) or Settings
  3. Select Linked Devices
  4. Tap Link Device
  5. Point camera at QR code

Common Errors

Scanning Problems

QR code not recognized

  • Clean phone camera
  • Increase screen brightness
  • Move closer/further away

"Invalid code" error

  • Code may be expired, regenerate it
  • Check internet connection

After Scanning

Once scanned:

  1. WhatsApp verifies the code
  2. Connection is established
  3. Status changes to "Connected"
  4. Agent is ready to receive messages

Security

Security

  • The QR code is unique and non-reusable
  • Each agent has its own connection
  • Linked sessions can be managed from WhatsApp
  • You can disconnect at any time

Linked Sessions

You can see and manage linked sessions:

  1. Open WhatsApp on phone
  2. Go to Linked Devices
  3. You will see "Leader24" as active session
  4. You can disconnect from here if needed
